We built with a general contractor from Saarland. So if you are not also building in Saarland, this information will not help you.

I would think about that three times in your place! Your lawyer has complained about quite a few things where I - honestly - can only shake my head; some things where I absolutely agree with her. Overall, this result: is, from my point of view, a very wise decision! Greetings from the Rhineland

You are completely right, dear construction expert, of course I will never sign something like that, I am not crazy. By the way, the list of defects from the lawyer regarding the construction contract was 29 pages long. So if the contractor doesn’t significantly change their position, that’s it for me. I have already requested further offers from other contractors. I’m curious whether there are actually differences or if most of them behave like this...

We are building with Büdenbender-Hausbau from the Siegerland. Construction will start in October, so I cannot report anything about the current building progress. So far, however, mostly good experiences. I also have a small blog, in case you are interested.

What the sellers say ultimately doesn't matter; only what is stated in the contract counts.

I wouldn’t immediately fixate on a prefabricated house either, there are many sensible ways to build. Many prefabricated houses, for example, don’t have an installation level, which would no longer be an option for me. We ultimately ended up with the wooden house (architect + carpentry) and are very satisfied, the pure construction time was 7 months. As a fan of wood aesthetics, I could now also imagine, for example, a solid construction with wood cladding and open wood ceilings.
