Hello everyone,
My house from the 60s has the main connections under the stairs. The small room is about 1.5m long, 0.8m wide, and 2m high at the entrance, then it slopes down directly to perhaps 1m height because of the stairs above. Exactly in the area with 1m ceiling height, all connections come out of the wall.
The room falls short of the necessary minimum dimensions for main connection rooms, which is 1.25m of free space in front of fuse boxes, etc. On the internet, you always read a lot, and it sounds like I have to create a new main connection room. I also do not know how strict the requirement is that the technology must be mounted on the wall of the main connections. What do you think is permissible:
- Can I keep the main connection box there?
- The existing single-phase electricity meter must be replaced by a three-phase meter. Is it allowed to keep it there and only relocate the fuse box?
- Which positions are possible for the fuse box (and possibly main connection box and meter)?
1. On the left wall in front of the stairs?
2. In the intermediate corridor? I have marked the actual size. There would be 1.25m of space in front of it.
3. In the technical room
- Can I leave the water meter and gas meter (both renewed a few years ago) under the stairs?
Thank you very much
