Hello everyone,

we have purchased a fully developed plot and discussed the ancillary construction costs with a general contractor during the sales meeting. €3500 was allocated for the item wastewater.

We also obtained quotes for the earthworks. The points "laying KG pipes" and the inspection shaft as well as the cistern were offered to us directly by the earthworks contractor. He told us, "Everything related to wastewater exiting the property is included in his offer."

Now we are wondering what the €3500 wastewater cost refers to. What work is still missing then? From my understanding, the pipe that goes from the property to the local wastewater system should still be connected, but that can’t possibly cost €3500, can it? Could you possibly help me shed some light on this?

Best regards

That can also cost 10,000 EUR. It really depends heavily on the sewage regulations of your municipality. There are the most extreme calculation methods; including investment cost subsidies for the downstream infrastructure.

This is the construction cost surcharge, casper

The work from your shaft (excavator) to the public drainage is charged separately. €3500 should not be too far off for a not too long distance.

The home builder installs the wastewater pipes inside the house and up to the outer edge of the floor slab. From there, the earthworks contractor continues up to the inspection chamber, including roof drainage ([KG-Rohre]). The inspection chamber and the connection to the wastewater network are provided by the city/municipality for a fee. This is usually specified when purchasing the property.

Thanks for your answers. However, in my case, the earthworks contractor also made the inspection chamber. And it is located approximately 2m away from the municipal sewage network. I just can't imagine how that should cost 3500, but you are often surprised in this regard.
