That’s how it is. I can confirm. People really still believe you can build a house for 250k including land and incidental construction costs. That may have been possible 10 years ago. If it weren’t so sad... you could laugh about it....

There is always a lot of legend, memory gaps, and truth mixed together and apples are mixed with pears. Even in 2005, the house that today costs 500 K € did not cost 250 K €. I still remember that in our village around 1992, a bungalow was built for 500 TDM (that was the talk of the village back then because it was insanely expensive and the builders had to sell it shortly afterward due to divorce).
