what do you mean by that?

yes exactly, we also have it set to 5. although it is not cold here because it is very well insulated. It's more about the fact that we especially like it cooler in the bedrooms

Sorry that was misunderstood. 5 is our maximum (so that the ERR does not switch off) and not 5°.

We lived until a few years ago in an older, poorly insulated detached house (actually more of a weekend house) and during the cold season we "gave up" the upper floor (converted attic) to somewhat reduce the heating costs of around €400/month. So we only heated the ground floor. However, this caused cracks to form in the walls and in addition moisture settled everywhere in the attic. It was really damp and cold up there. No idea where the moisture came from.

Actually, it makes sense that the moisture collects there.
There will be no vapor barrier between the ground floor (EG) and the upper floor (OG), and otherwise some warm air will get from the ground floor to the upper floor through door gaps/open doors or similar. Then exactly the effect I mentioned occurs:

Which thermostat for underfloor heating sets 5 degrees Celsius?

Are you sure you described it correctly?

I am a bit surprised... You have also been active in the forum for quite some time and were once very active. A few weeks are actually enough to know that extreme temperature reductions of parts of a house or nighttime periods can cause building damage and hardly bring any savings...

Hellooooooooooo

after the cold snap I had a strange "sense of warmth".

My hoooman showed me around the house and pointed to the thermostat. We have at least 20 degrees comfort temperature everywhere.

hm should jog less :)
