Prices vary regionally, I think for example due to network fees and compared they are not the same everywhere

I would like to pick up here. Is splitting worthwhile for a separate heat pump tariff?

What are the experiences of heat pump owners here?

The price difference between heat pump electricity and "normal tariff" is about 7-8 cents/kWh, but a monthly basic fee must be paid per tariff.

With that you know the conditions and can calculate whether it is worthwhile. For an energy saving ordinance house, it will be a mid double-digit amount per year; for that I wouldn’t bind myself to 2 contracts, meters, etc. With a timber frame house towards KfW40, it can quickly become a losing business.

The simple calculation is relatively straightforward and actually already shows that heat pump electricity tariffs can help save money.

1000 kWh = 8000 cents/80 EUR additional cost per year if no heat pump electricity tariff is used.

In the online database for heat pump electricity consumption, the average for 110-140 m² with 3-4 people is around 2000-4000 kWh consumption per year.

However, the following may need to be taken into account:

If heat pump electricity tariffs are used, the heat demand of the house may increase due to a blocking time factor that must be considered. The nominal power of the heat pump and the size of the outdoor unit must be adjusted to a higher heat demand. In addition, a larger storage tank as a heating buffer during the blocking period may be required

Therefore, it would be interesting to know who uses a separate heat pump electricity tariff.

Our municipal supplier is more expensive with its heat pump than, for example, EnBW, which I chose. HT NT makes no difference in the price and is still cheaper.

Is this usual with the blocking period?
