Hi everyone!

I think one reason why many people choose so-called junk food (I now also count ready meals like canned soups, frozen skillet dishes, etc. as part of this) is the price. For example, you can get a canned soup for as little as 99 cents, and these frozen dishes are usually not much more expensive. At that price, it is almost impossible to prepare the same dish with fresh ingredients. And nowadays, it is more important than ever to pay attention to prices. At least, that's how it is for me.

Hello!

Yes, I know that problem too. When I had to live on [Arbeitslosengeld II] some time ago, I could hardly afford fresh ingredients. Frozen buttered vegetables were already a luxury, so to speak. And now that I have a job again, I hardly have the time or desire to cook something proper. Going to the kebab guy on the way home from work is more practical and convenient. Healthy food seems to be becoming more and more of a luxury. :(

will food soon be a luxury?

hi,

you are really not wrong with what you say. food is getting more and more expensive. i recently saw a documentary about how many parents can no longer guarantee their children daily meals. and the report was about germany! when you hear that children in africa are suffering from hunger, it hardly surprises anyone anymore. but in germany! that is really a sign of decline.

best regards,
Mara
