Hello, In our new apartment, at our request (because we liked it best visually), the Grohe Grohtherm 3000 c (square) was installed in the shower and at the bathtub. Since Hansgrohe is said to be of better quality than Grohe, my idea would be to order the overhead shower and hand shower from Hansgrohe. Is it advisable to combine two different manufacturers? Or are the showers from Grohe also good?

For showers, I assume the difference is probably not that big. Grohe is also a good brand manufacturer. I was just recommended Hansgrohe for the shower faucet because they have a standardized [Unterputz-Anschlussbox] and the faucets supposedly cause fewer problems. With Grohe, there are apparently 2 UP systems, so you can't combine everything. However, I can't judge how much truth there is in the plumber's statement and how much is due to purchasing conditions or installation preferences. But I trust him, especially since I don't know any better. Basically, you can also combine manufacturers; for example, my faucets at the sink come from Hansa.

A Grohe Rapido T concealed thermostat valve is installed for the shower and bathtub. From this, one line goes to the rain shower connection and one to the hand shower connection in the shower. For the bathtub, one line goes to the bathtub spout and one to the hand shower connection. My question is whether
1. you can connect any rain shower (wall connection pipe and round or square shower head) to the rain shower connection and
2. whether you can connect any, or only certain hand showers to the two hand shower connections in the wall.
Or are Grohe devices absolutely recommended here, perhaps due to the matching regulation between the valve and the "end device"?

Hello

As long as you stay within the usual limits, you can combine as you wish.
For particularly large rain showers, for example, adequate water supply must be ensured.

As long as the connections fit, no problem. But one’s chrome finish might be different from the other’s silver gloss, so this could possibly lead to visual inconsistencies. Functionally, it doesn’t matter.
