Have Q2 smoothly plastered onto Q3 or use painter's fleece

Our painter now says it would be a Q4 filling.

I will post pictures later. Unfortunately, I forgot to take them before.

Are you worried about settlement cracks? I would actually prefer to glue painter's fleece because of the risk of cracks and nicely hide it behind the "wallpaper." Before my wife blames me for the cracks, saying I didn't paint properly.

In the last apartment we had painter's fleece. We liked that. In the current one, the plaster has been painted and as soon as I drill anywhere, there are more cracks.

The house has now been standing for several months. I believe the major settlement cracks are now over. But if push comes to shove, we will have the sections repatched.
