Hello everyone,

I would like to make the door marked in the attachment as wide as possible. So far, I have not found anything wider than 1060 mm for the width of the sliding door. Is there perhaps something like sequential double sliding doors? For me, both would have to slide to the right. Or do you see any other clever solution here, maybe something with drywall?

Yes, there is. I will also have to install something like that here. However, the prices are not insignificant. For the fittings alone, I am looking at something around €500. You can save a bit if you do without soft-close and coupling of the two door halves. Then there are the doors themselves. So if you still have options in the planning that simplify this, think about it. Best regards Michael

Isn't that something for the local carpenter?

Just to be provocative:
Are you absolutely sure that you need a door [B]?
We faced the same problem but decided to simply leave the passage open without any door.
In our respective parents' houses, the entrance to the living area each has a double door, which 99.9% of the time is either just open (one half) or simply in the way (the other half)...

Yes, you are right, most of the time this door will be open. But when we do need it, we also want to be able to separate this area from the living space. For example, when bacon is being fried in the pan again or the woman comes home from the night shift and wants to sleep in the morning while the children are playing in the living room.
