What kind of house do you have?
We installed the 58/4 and had 2 * 70 m drilled - in terms of price, we ended up paying 9200 € gross for the drilling (although significantly more than originally expected). What can / may / should be drilled in your case will depend on your soil - ours, for example, was rather moderately suitable - averaging 39 W/m.
When backfilling the boreholes, make sure that a highly heat-conductive backfill material is used; we also have ThermoCem but probably only the basic version - unfortunately, nothing else was ever offered.

And finally: even if it’s not perfect, it might only cost you about 40 € more per year in heating costs, so don’t drive yourself crazy.
ERR is also a topic you can look into - apparently, it can be omitted.

With us, it will be a KFW 55 house with a basement. This is heated halfway. 2 full floors with a base dimension of 11.35 x 9.85 meters.

The best option is to build an apartment directly in the ground, at the base of a hill. Then it is warm in winter and cool in summer.

@ Building expert:

In my opinion, the most important thing for a geothermal heating system is a thorough geological survey of the layers to be drilled through.

Originally, we also planned to heat our house with geothermal energy, but after the drilling disaster in Leonberg (two towns away), we ended up sticking with the air-water heat pump.

At the end of last week, the report was published, which clearly shows that the soil subsidence occurring there for years (now up to 47 cm!!!) was caused by a geothermal drilling.

Three insurance companies have been disputing the regulation of the resulting damage (several millions) to buildings for years.

Please don't get me wrong, I still find this type of heating very interesting, but the preliminary investigation and execution must be carried out very carefully.

Regards,

Dirk
