Geothermal energy: pros and cons?!

In the settlement, a street further away was also built with geothermal energy last year. Maybe that's a good sign.

If drilling has already taken place in the neighborhood without causing any faults, that is a good sign. Due to the problems in the neighboring town, drilling for geothermal energy is no longer permitted here. Regards, Dirk

Has anyone ever heard of a source drying up after a deep drilling after a few years?

Mhm well maybe I'm imagining it too simply, but:

if I extract energy from the "Earth," meaning from the soil or water (energy source), it must somehow regenerate so that I can continue to divert energy. Are there cases where a system became unusable because the energy was "all gone"? One of my heating specialists said something like that... that's why he would always prefer to lay it out across the area rather than deep down.
