Unfortunately, it’s no longer an option for us after my husband researched the current price earlier. It was less than half that price 3-4 years ago and only a few euros more expensive than a good caravan.

I have read a current starting price of €99,000. That is still far too expensive for leisure and vacation enjoyment 6 weeks a year.

This really should not be underestimated. I wouldn't have dreamed of it in our old rented house, but in the new building, it's really something else. We only have KFW55 standard, but already in May you have to think about shading, otherwise the air conditioning runs after a few days. Visitors -> set ventilation to party mode or really cross-ventilate, because just 2 more adults in the living room cause a huge amount of heat in the room after a few hours. I don't even light tealights anymore. :D

Hi,

offtopic

I just looked at it. It is a fairly normal houseboat with a suitable trailer. The price is exorbitant, but prices for boats are just absurdly high. You can't compare that to a €30k caravan, even if it apparently offers more space at first glance.

Problem: the thing cannot be towed by a car, as it apparently already weighs 3200 kg empty. At least the XL version. So with trailer and equipment over 4000 kg!

You’ll need to buy a 7.5-ton truck as a towing vehicle... ;-)

That they don’t provide dimensions and weights would always make me suspicious with boats and trailers!

Best regards,

Andreas

And get the truck driver's license if you are under 40 ;) With a car, depending on the towing vehicle, you can manage between 1.3 and 1.5 tons with Class B, with a one-day course and B96, normally sized caravans are possible.
