Here I have to ask again. When I google according to flow temperature. Hot water I always find such information:

"The flow temperature should not fall below 55 °C. In houses with water heating from a hot water storage tank, the controller temperature of the tank should be around 60 °C, and in the water pipes themselves not less than 55 °C."

or

"In a hot water storage tank that holds hot water in reserve, the hot water temperature must never fall below 60 degrees Celsius, otherwise Legionella bacteria can multiply."

or

"Check in hot water circulation systems whether the temperature at each outlet point is at least 55 degrees. To do this, possibly temporarily disable the scald protection."

With household typical water amounts up to 300 liters in the tank, you really have to be quite a stinker to get a legionella problem here.

Just my 2 Cents

Sounds plausible. What does one do, on the other hand, in case of a longer absence (e.g. vacation, etc.)?

Pray  . For example, you can just let the water run before showering. Legionella tend to accumulate more in the pipes than in the hot water tank, which is always reheated.

There is also a Legionella program in some heat pumps, where the water is heated once (or regularly) to 60-70° for a short time to kill everything that has accumulated. But yes, then you should also run the hot water through all the pipes for a while. Leave the house during this and ventilate properly, because especially the Legionella that are inhaled through steam or aerosol cause problems. The ones you drink are not so bad.

That sounds dangerous. We've never done anything like that. I'm surprised we've survived this long. ;) :D
