Hello,
we are in the middle of the complete renovation of our detached house (built in 1957) and have placed our boiler in the basement, as there the connection to an old chimney is possible, which should lead the exhaust pipe through the roof and at the same time supply the combustion air.
Due to the roof renovation, the chimney now had to be removed down to floor level in the upper floor. The new plan therefore is to switch to a double-walled exhaust pipe at the end of the chimney and lead this pipe through the roof. The pipe is then to be clad in a drywall construction (see attached sketch).
The question now is how and whether the transition between chimney + single pipe and the double-walled pipe can be realized and what else needs to be considered to avoid problems with the chimney sweep etc.
Thank you in advance and best regards!
