Yes and no, it was the same for us. The standard from the developer was a Rotex HPSU Compact (air-water heat pump). In the case of a gas boiler, you would first have calculated the gas connection and then -- due to a lack of a creative energy expert -- added the solar thermal system on top. For us, in the specific situation, the air-water heat pump was cheaper than a gas condensing boiler. (The gas option was not worked out in detail!)
In other constellations it can be different. At least the gas connection should not be forgotten when doing the calculations ... .
