Hello everyone,

now that spring is slowly coming and our turf has been laid, I am currently temporarily using an old hose with Gardena couplings and my parents’ Gardena square sprinkler. Now I want to have something of my own and would like to buy something reasonable. Gardena is the first thing that comes to my mind personally, but when I read online, it seems that the quality is obviously not necessarily that good anymore. My parents’ plastic sprinkler doesn’t make the best impression either. My idea is actually that I would rather spend a bit more and then have something that lasts for 10 years or more.

In my online research, nothing really came up. Is there actually only discount store goods, then maybe something a bit above Gardena, and if you want something better you have to pay 10 times as much right away?

Specifically, we are looking for the following:
- 20m hose
- suitable hose cart or hose reel (important: without wall mounting, as the house is only rented)
- spray nozzle
- square sprinkler

Do you have any tips?

Best regards Malte

Hose reel hose, it's not worth worrying about. Ours is from Penny and over 20 years old. So, what more do you want. The sprinkler from Gardena. We once bought one at Netto, it broke down in no time. The Gardena has been working for three years.

You should have buried an irrigation system before laying the turf;) With a hose/sprinkler solution, I agree with Take a Gardena and that’s it. If it breaks in a few years, you just get a new one.

Since we're on the topic of water, I have a buying tip. The thing is called Worx Hydroshot, weighs only two kg and looks like a kind of lance with a battery attached, it's a super handy cordless high-pressure cleaner, the clever thing about it is that although it can also work with a hose, you can also throw a loose hose end (is included) into the rain barrel for example, it then sucks up the water by itself, and you can beautifully clean away with it, washing the car, removing moss from patio slabs, cleaning a dirty bike, it's strong enough for all that. I'm really enthusiastic about this thing. One battery charge lasts for about 20 minutes. Battery and charger are included in the package. K.
