Hello,

the ordered garden house will arrive soon. I have designated an area in the garden for it with leftover building materials (curbs, leftover concrete as crumb material, and similar). Now gravel will be added on top, which will then be compacted to create a base for the garden house.

The garden house has its own floor made of OSB3 boards and comes with an underframe construction.

Now I would take the remaining paving stones and put them on the gravel. Then the underframe construction on top of that. Or should something be placed between the paving stones and the underframe?

Thank you for your feedback!

Hi, I did it the same way, it fits. If you feel that some greenery might still come up from below, invest a few euros in weed control fabric, put the stones on top, and then wood.

I have also placed terrace pads / construction protection mats between the paving and the wood for insulation against rising moisture.

I did it the same way, so the air can also circulate a bit from below around your OSB3 boards.

I also have building protection mats on the ground battens. This allows better ventilation in case of water.

Thanks for the feedback. Can someone maybe write the correct layering for me again?

That's right, I also got the tip about the protective mats.

Or if I understand correctly:

Gravel
(Weed control fabric if needed)
Paving stones (or sidewalk slabs)
Protective mats
then the substructure
Garden shed

But this also means that the paving stones just lie on the fabric or the gravel. And everything is supported by its own weight or the contents of the garden shed?

One more additional question:

How can I best proceed to minimize the "gap" that forms between the back of the garden shed and the neighbor's fence so that nothing grows there? The gap will probably be about 20-30 cm wide. I hope I have written it understandably.
Basically the brown strip at the back.
