Garage in the basement (slight slope) Pros and Cons?!

There are also really dry residential basements. If basements stay dry, why not garages too? You just have to make sure that the driveway is not below street level. I had that once in Augsburg and after a storm the car had wet feet.

Street side as the valley side and a slope that suggests a basement: that reads to me quite clearly as an invitation to push the garage under the house. Tell me more about the property, perhaps split level is also an option.
