Garage 6.5m or 7m deep - what would you do?

The question is already in the subject line. Our garage is actually planned with 6m (width front), 7m (width back), and 7m (depth). If we reduce the garage depth to 6.50m, we can save 2000€.

Now I’m just wondering if that won’t be too tight. If possible, we also want to store bicycles in the garage and basically I always thought that a spacious garage is not a bad idea. But 2000€ is also quite a price for 50cm more depth. What do you think? Is 6.5m enough, even for large cars, or will it already be tight? How would you decide?

Do you have a separate room for the bicycles? Where are the bikes supposed to be kept then?

If these are the external dimensions, I would not do without the 50 cm. One should also check whether the bicycles etc. can actually be stored well.. where are they supposed to be in the garage, how do they get there (very tight past the car? etc.).

We have a 6.50 and a Sharan in the garage. In front, there is space for 1 bike trailer + 1 adult bike and 2 children's bikes. To get the stuff out, I have to take everything out one after the other (side door). 50cm more would be a relief.

We have an interior dimension of 6m x 6m. That is still enough to comfortably place trash bins at the front end and hang the tires behind them on the wall. I then have a good half meter of space in front of and behind the car to move comfortably around the cars. I also never had to check if I need to drive the car a few centimeters forward so that the garage door closes :)
