Hello everyone,
I am currently looking for a suitable front door.
The problem: My front door should have an Ekey, but I do not want the door to be easily opened from the inside (by pressing down the door handle) if it was previously locked from the outside using the Ekey. This is supposedly called panic function, which I do not want for BER.
Now the question is whether there are front doors or locks that do not have this "panic function"?

Cheers, b2see

And how do you plan to get out of the house if the door is locked from the outside?

Why don't you want to have it - it's negligent not to have this function. And you don't have more security either...

I'm also getting eKey and a motorized automatic lock - but with the function.

you could push a bar from the inside or something similar. then no one can get out who simply pushes the handle down. as already said, without this function no one would get out at all. the door is always locked as soon as it falls into the lock.

So, despite ekey, the doors still have a normal lock cylinder. So you can also unlock from the inside and outside with a conventional key. Reason against it: let's assume you have a glass element in your front door, or several small ones. Now here comes the bad guy who has a carpenter's hammer, breaks the glass so that his arm fits through, and presses down the inside handle – suddenly he's inside. Now don't come to me with laminated safety glass... when it's about a 10 cm big hole... you just have to hit it 5-6 times. (By the way: What do you think is the reason these locks have a vacation function?????) This function lets the handle press down into nothing when you had manually locked from the outside before. What do you think, why did they probably make it like that?? lol

So my door no longer has a lock cylinder - and no burglar is going to smash the glass next to the door on the front with a hammer...

Of course, you could assume such a construction, but then I would prefer my own safety.

What do you actually do with the windows? Even if they can be locked themselves, someone could smash out all the glass with a hammer...
