How good is your mobile reception inside the house? The devices actually operate at significantly higher power under "poor reception" conditions. Apart from that, you are constantly exposed to various electromagnetic radiation from outside anyway (cell towers, neighbors...). I eventually dropped out of your smart home confusion games under several nicknames, but didn't you also want to have something wireless there?

For the back of the head (literally): the exposure decreases with 1/r².

WLAN baby monitor :)

DECT is worse. So don't worry. It is then not a repeater but an access point in terms of function;)

So much for "No one needs LAN cables these days" :)

No one ever claimed that.
But the wiring craze, where at least one double socket is installed in every room and there are even 2 double sockets behind the TV in the living room... nobody needs that. Yes.

There he goes again... and he is not at all aware that he is contradicting himself. If you are constantly being "bombarded from outside with immense radiation anyway..." then what does it matter if you have an unfavorably located LAN port on the upper floor... or 3 favorably located ones because you installed a double LAN socket on every corner? It all decreases with 1/r² anyway, doesn't it? Once you've memorized it, you don't really understand it...

The radio mast 100m away, due to this 1/r² rule of thumb, is much less dangerous than the WLAN access point 1m away from the head. Why? 1/1² compared to 1/100². That's a factor of 10k.

And anyone who believes a smartphone emits as much radiation as a WLAN access point can try setting up a hotspot with their smartphone. Ridiculous, it usually doesn't even get through the interior door.

Where is your buddy MotorRotor anyway? He also likes to whinny because he knows numbers and formulas by heart but doesn't know what they mean?

I wouldn't do it - why? No idea, I have no expertise, I also didn't want one in my bedroom myself... very simple! For me, it's not a question of whether it's harmful to health or not - I know perfectly well that it isn't. But it's an "always on" electronic box that is powered up in the sleeping area of a small person - I would look for another solution... GD
