Hello everyone.

Your collective expertise is needed once again.

I came to the construction site today and wanted to take a look at the formwork of the foundation slab and found the following...

Is something like this normal? Can it be done this way? As soon-to-be homeowners, do we have any disadvantages or even advantages from this?

I would be very happy about some practical experience.

I am seeing such a "formwork" for the first time.

TIP: very quickly google "who+can+lay+foundations" before the grounding system is installed by the bricklayers contrary to DIN 18014.

Isn't that irrelevant? The ring foundation is correct. With us, boards were set up and then the foundation was poured. Later, the boards were removed again. I don't see anything wrong with that.

What the foundation earthing has to do with it is a mystery to me. Besides, you only need to see it once and then you can do it yourself. Just throwing the thing briefly into the trench is not rocket science and I think the people responsible for the foundation are not doing it for the first time.

Never seen it like this before but it's not a problem. Right?

As you already say, I have never seen anything like this either. That is why it seems somewhat strange to me. Above all, the additional rows of stones will surely be placed on the formwork now, right? I only know it this way, that the walls are placed on the floor slab.

Is it because of the ground? It looks so sandy! Do you have a brick facade?
