Forgot to apply primer when painting!

Hello,

we are currently in the middle of building our house and doing as much as possible ourselves. This also includes painting. Now we have just realized with dismay that over the weekend we mixed up the buckets and painted with interior paint right away instead of primer.
Please don’t say now that we should have noticed. We are complete amateurs and simply didn’t know any better. Of course, we should have looked properly at the bucket. What do we do now? We are talking about the entire upper floor, we have used up two buckets. It concerns drywall and smooth plaster walls.
We are so upset now!

The main task of the primer is to reduce and equalize the absorbency of the substrate. This allows the paint to be applied more evenly. If everything looks good with you now, there is no problem. Maybe you just needed a little more paint.
