Which other product? What is it called? If you got ms polymer for eight euros, congratulations, then I want to know which one as a sailor with a ship. That stuff is by no means harder to handle than any other cartridge adhesive and sealant as well. Wear disposable gloves, the medical ones. Smooth a lumpy seam with Pril water, lots of Pril in it. Give it a bit more time to cure than usual with Sille. It also cures with humidity. Just slower.

And of course, more common construction adhesives also hold. But my point was, it should be permanent, 100 years, waterproof.

At least ms polymer was listed on Amazon at that price. It was also the only one, so I assume that’s what it will be.

I think I will have renovated the bathroom long before it turns 100 years old.

So basically it’s just normal construction adhesive from the hardware store and then you seal the transitions with silicone or acrylic?
I actually still have both of those at home.

I hope that works with the strip.

I wouldn't seal the gap of vinyl tiles with silicone, let alone acrylic. Both products wouldn't be adhesive enough for me there. You can use acrylic in the corners of drywall panels, as it is dry there and can handle a bit of movement. Silicone is at least very waterproof but doesn't really adhere strongly. The MS polymer is waterproof and very, very adhesive, and also very elastic. Look at the picture. These are solid teak strips, glued onto the deck, then sealed. It doesn't have to be black; I just thought it looked nice here. The picture is from autumn 2014. Despite sun, rain, salt, and walking on it, everything has been tight until today. I did it myself. I'm a bit proud of that. Smile Karsten

Okay, the biggest problem is that I can only find the polymer in black and in no other color. Ideally, I would need a basalt gray or if that is not available in gray, then in clear. Everything else would visually stand out and ruin the overall appearance :/

Google "pantera ms 3000 grey". You will get plenty of results. Karsten
