Does anyone have experience with the floor covering Avatara Multisense from Ter Hürne? I would like to hear from users who have installed this Avatara Multisense themselves.

It is specifically about Eiche Naturbeige 03 as a 2100mm plank.

Hello roadrun87,

have you by now had any experience with the flooring Avatara Multisense from Ter Hürne? Or have you decided against it?

Thank you,

I hope he decided against it. We fitted a large house with it and only had trouble. Inferior quality, gradual graying of the floor, tracks from walking, peeling of the top layer, not durable at all, the floor was never 100% clean after mopping. After 6 months it looked like it was 50 years old. We ripped everything out again. The manufacturer still claims the floor corresponds to the quality promised on the internet. Stay away! [Baumarktboden] is definitely better!

Hello "Steinbock",
we are currently faced with the decision to install laminate or Multi-Sense flooring. Did you order the flooring online or purchase it directly from the specialist retailer? We inspected the flooring and the material on site and actually had a very good first impression. Although the flooring is softer than laminate, it also feels warmer and is still more durable than parquet. That is why we actually liked the material. Perhaps you could describe your experience in more detail and let us know exactly which Multi-Sense flooring you installed. It would definitely help us a lot.
Thank you very much and best regards

Hello braintstorm,
I am happy to help... Yes, of course we bought the floor from a specialist retailer and had about 4 weeks of consultation and information beforehand. We took sample pieces home and actually tested them extensively. We needed an extremely durable floor because we have 2 large dogs. I kept pointing this out to the dealer again and again. Originally, we wanted to use vinyl because we had the best experiences with it. The dealer, unfortunately, talked us out of it a bit! We then chose Avatara Flor A01 in oak cream white – the floor has since been discontinued. Avatara is certainly warmer than laminate, but not as pleasantly comfortable as vinyl. Based on our experience, I would generally advise against Avatara; as I said, anything is better than that. By now, we have received a completely new floor (vinyl) free of charge, as a goodwill gesture, since the manufacturer still believes the Avatara was fine. We had company-appointed experts who always confirmed this. Hiring our own expert would have been very costly and a quick solution was needed because we had already been living with this floor for half a year and were seriously considering legal action. In the end, without admitting any liability, as it is always called, we were offered the chance to choose a new floor. We then chose vinyl and have been absolutely satisfied ever since. For years we also had apartments with laminate and that always worked well, but I would never take Avatara again.

Hello Capricorn,
thank you very much for the detailed report. We will definitely follow up with the dealer once again with a critical eye. What makes me a bit suspicious regardless of your comment is the fact that there are hardly any other online reviews on the topic of Multisense aside from your report. In any case, we will ask the dealer for a few more customers who have the floor in use and possibly visit them. Hopefully, the version installed in your unit, which has since been discontinued, is the cause of the problems you described. I hope you are no longer having any trouble.
In any case, thank you very much for your response.
Best regards
