Floor-to-ceiling windows or double-wing door with French balcony?

Hello everyone,

what are your experiences with floor-to-ceiling windows with fixed lower part or double-leaf doors with French balcony in the attic (see in pictures).
The room is currently planned as one room (open space for office, guests, playing, etc. facing southwest) and should also be able to be divided if necessary.
Unfortunately, I have never had either of these window types in an apartment. I would greatly appreciate your experience. Should both be approximately equally expensive?

In my opinion, floor-to-ceiling with a fixed bottom for the inside is more practical (you can also put something there occasionally), but it doesn’t look as nice from the outside. There is also the option of not completely floor-to-ceiling, but simply a low parapet like a window seat... but then it should also be nicer with fall protection.

Truly floor-to-ceiling only if you also want to walk through. Otherwise, leave a small sitting windowsill. We saved ourselves the parapet. It looks better and we no longer have children or not yet again in the house.

With B, I wonder how to clean the lower part on the outside?

Open the window, lean out and clean. You can reach everything that way. Put a ladder up, stand on it and clean. Also no problem. It doesn’t have to be done often.

Take 2 divided; then you can have a desk or something else in front of the window and still open it at the top.
