Good day,
we are renovating a house built in 1976 and had to remove the screed in 2/3 of the ground floor. The old build-up height was mostly 7.5cm (2cm EPS, 4.5cm screed, 1cm tiles) but in one corner only 6cm (concrete not even). Below is an unheated basement.
We plan to install underfloor heating and increase the build-up height by 2cm, using dry screed to save build-up height (for more insulation).
The idea was as follows: 1cm EPS for tiny unevenness / a leveling fill for larger ones. On top, 2 - 3cm aluminum-coated PUR floor insulation panels. On top of that, a 3cm EPS system board for underfloor heating. Then the heat transfer plates etc. and finally 2cm dry screed. The covering should be a click full vinyl (4.4mm) + 1.6mm impact sound insulation.
Should this work? What kind of fill would be suitable?
In the adjacent room the screed is OK, but we want to adopt the +2cm build-up height of the neighboring room. A similar vinyl covering is planned here as well. Are there insulation boards that can be used between the screed and vinyl for this?
Thank you very much!
