Hello

@Kira:
That doesn’t sound bad for you at all! Congratulations! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that everything will be resolved quickly now. But please keep us updated on what happens next :)

@Der Da:
Then I must have had a very good appraiser: mine first asked me if we wanted to build with geothermal energy – then they would have drilled deeper. Then he voluntarily said that they would have to drill deeper if they didn’t find solid ground at the planned 5 m. Sure, that would have cost a few more euros, but without drilling deeper, the soil survey would be pointless and the money wasted... Luckily, the results for me were exactly as expected :D

Best regards
Micha :cool:

Yes, of course, I will! We are now also having soil and media analyses carried out again by an independent geologist. Because the city has made the fox guard the henhouse by commissioning the geologist who already prepared the report back then and confirmed the safety in the report. I find that very suspicious, and for this reason, we need a second opinion. Furthermore, the mayor has shirked responsibility and initially referred to the still pending results, not as we expected, taking the matter personally and taking the helm, rather the opposite!? He doesn’t seem entirely clean to me, and I do not necessarily want to rule out corrupt collusion back then. But we will see how things develop; in the worst case, we will rescind the purchase agreement due to this serious defect, and they can do whatever they want with their oil dump!!!!!

Hello,

Don’t forget that - if the case goes to court - another court-appointed expert will be commissioned. Your counter-expert report will initially have no evidentiary value.

Unfortunately, that is not as uncommon as you might think. I could have numerous properties from the real estate of a chemical company; reports, harmlessness - everything is available. But I have good contacts within the corporation and therefore know that not everything that glitters is gold :mad:

What speaks against carrying out this plan right now instead of investing valuable energy - like at the Hornberg Shootout?

Such disputes - starting from the counter-expert report through a preservation of evidence procedure up to the final result - can take many months/years.

Kind regards

Hello. Since yesterday, we know that the contamination involves benzene and that these exceed the limit by a factor of 20. Today, six drillings are being made to delimit the damage area. In case of doubt, further drillings will be carried out. This is supervised by the [Landratsamt]. The contract was awarded by the city. Costs = nearly €10,000. A response was made within three days and we are optimistic that this pace will continue. It is clear that the contamination must be eliminated as quickly as possible; the environmental authority is ensuring this. And if the city has awarded the contract, this is already a concession. Tomorrow we will know roughly the contaminated radius. We want to wait a little longer to see the results and test the extent to which the city cooperates. If it does not meet our expectations, Plan B will apply, meaning we will rescind the [KV].

well, when something like that happens, there isn't much you can do: hope that it's deep enough, or replace all the soil around the house.

What you can totally forget about are cisterns, rainwater use, and vegetable cultivation. And you have to hope that the benzenes, which are partly volatile, do not evaporate. That can become life-threatening.

I often dealt with benzenes during my chemistry studies, and we had to follow many safety regulations. Disposal was always a particular problem.
