Floor plan single-family house - kitchen problem

We actually don't want a kitchen island because we don't really see the added value ;-)

We have it like this, with the cooktop and a retractable recirculating hood on one side, and a small dining area on the other side. Next to the dining area there is a slightly taller cabinet to create a niche behind it for dirty dishes. It naturally provides storage space and work surfaces.

I think a sliding door is a good idea in this spot, then you don’t get it in your back when chopping vegetables :)

But a stove in front of the window? The hood has to go down pretty low, so the window behind it would be useless then?

If you now generously assume a ceiling height of 2.60 meters, then a boxed-in section of 30 cm for the ceiling fan and a working height of 90 cm, there remains a distance of 1.40 meters to the cooktop. This is no problem for a ceiling fan. However, these are not necessarily bargains. ;)

Of course, the space for such a project must also be available. If the boxed-in section then extends over the entire length and is equipped with LED, it also looks quite good.

I think 140cm is quite a lot. The hood must really extract a significant amount to be able to prevent the spread. And accordingly, such a device is probably quite loud, isn’t it?
