Whether the access road will remain 3.3m wide forever is another question. Initially, it was important for the general contractor to know roughly how wide the construction road could be. I can also imagine that the access road might ultimately only be 2.5 - 2.8m wide. The house can also be pushed a bit further back.
On the one hand, the fire department also has an opinion on this, and on the other hand, you don’t want to carry new furniture on foot through the driveway later, do you? The GFL corridors need a permanently reasonable width. A house on wheels is a funny image in my mind’s eye, but realistically, I see everything very tight here, nothing movable.
What kind of general contractor anyway, and how does he come into play so early?
I based it on a catalog floor plan, but it did not include an office on the ground floor (instead a huge living/dining area) and the utility room was on the right side (where I drew the terrace) and not on the left. [...]
Regarding the passage in the kitchen: there was also a lot of discussion with my wife. Originally I left about one meter of free space there, but she definitely wanted a wider kitchen island. I will probably have to talk to her about it again. [...]
In the original floor plan, it was a dressing room. [...] on the other hand, it might be helpful in old age if you can no longer make it up the stairs. Here the original floor plan only had a tiny guest WC without a shower.
Phew... dear goddess... Günni will have to make me a Doornkaat first. "Original floor plans" are like fairy tales: you only have three change requests free, otherwise, they function worse than any amateur self-creation. Regarding "building for old age," take a look here: (there you will find several external reading tips). About the kitchen: I know several women who wear size 34/36 who would complain about such a narrow spot. In everyday kitchen life, you can’t afford "slow zones."
I stick to my point: I see too much sealing here, and probably only enough space left for a 100/110 sqm house. A hot reading tip for you might also be this one: (and the whole thread around it, but not least the Easter egg).
