Mhh, difficult.

I would definitely go through the hallway into the bathroom. In my view, the current solution offers no advantages.

I would place the bathtub on the top left wall and the toilet to the right of it. This also eliminates the "bottleneck" between the corner of the bathtub and the corner of the shower. Then place the door between the bathtub and the shower. Right-hand hinge. This has the disadvantage that you always have to go through the "wet area" in front of the shower, but I would prefer that to always walking through the bedroom. Hopefully, the shower will have a door given its size, right? You will probably have to put the light switch in the hallway with this configuration.

Basically a good idea. But isn’t the space for the toilet quite tight then? It’s squeezed into the corner like that, and the rest of the wall is completely free... The shower will definitely get a door. I think a sliding door, so it’s not in the way.

Hello,

I have a suggestion.

This way, the toilets (child & parent), the sink, and the shower in the children's room would share one drain, and the shower and bathroom in the parents' bedroom would use the second.
I would place the sink diagonally, as in my opinion, that makes the room feel more open and friendlier.
The partition wall of the shower could also be built with glass blocks, which would bring in more light, and the blocks are also available in color if you want to add accents.

Maybe you like it, or it opens up new ideas.

Have a nice evening.

I really like that, Bussibaer, thank you very much! Unfortunately, my husband does not want the toilet in front of the window. For me, it would be the perfect solution! But in any case, it is a food for thought in the right direction.

...that's what I meant. Between the shower and the tub, a stylish, custom glass panel can be placed on the edge of the tub. The tubs come in various sizes. Or just the standard version. Under the window. Next to the toilet, a towel rack. With a tiled shower (i.e., without a tray), it can even be adjusted to the centimeter (about 100 cm wide shower then) width, which fits perfectly.

Best regards
Jens

Thank you for the great ideas! We have now found an online bathroom planner and moved everything back and forth and thought about it. I have attached the result. There are now about 45 cm free between the shower and the bathtub. You could put a shelf there. Or we would take a bigger bathtub and also enlarge the shower so that there is no gap in between. If anyone has comments on the idea, feel free to share them ; )
