Of course. Don’t confuse the fireplace stove, which has a very uneven heating curve, with a masonry heater, which provides a very steady heat output. We have been using it to our satisfaction. Whether it’s everyone’s cup of tea is another matter. There are various well-functioning systems after all.

Asking for more and more personal details, only to then indulge in the cheapest polemics about it, does not add any value to the floor plan.

I have only read purposeful questions about details here, and a floor plan makes as much house as a single flock of swallows makes a summer. Could you please name the post numbers in which, according to your reading, there was polemics?

Don’t worry about it. I recognized myself in 11ant’s description and laughed heartily. We have completed a similar project to yours, but at a different stage of life and did many things differently than “people” usually do. For us, it works perfectly.

That almost sounds like posts from me are meant—however, that would have to be misunderstandings (so not hearty laughter, but polemics, yes, and the cheapest especially). I gladly try to write so that the message gets across, even though here not even punctuation emoticons are available and when texting you can’t add anything with voice and/or intonation. I also know the “wrong tone” problem from real life, when someone doesn’t notice my exile Berliner accent in my pronunciation.

The "zoning" would be easy for me (no priority on TV). I find the topic of daylight more complex.
