Hello,

I am now posting our draft here.

In the plans, north is at the bottom and south is at the top.
The plot is 550sqm.
Eaves height max 4.5m, ridge max 9.5m.

We spontaneously noticed that the hallway on the ground floor is already quite large. We might prefer a smaller hallway and a somewhat larger living/dining area, but have no idea how to do this sensibly.

Otherwise, we basically like the whole thing and would want to implement it this way if there are no major planning defects.

I would be happy if a few critical and helpful opinions come together.

I find the couch in the bay window misplaced; it doesn’t really showcase the bay window properly, and if there is supposed to be an exit to the terrace there, you always have to walk around the couch. Upstairs, the bay window corner is also hardly usable and difficult to furnish. If it’s a bay window, I would make it straight and not so angled. Your bathroom has the same layout as ours currently – only the toilet corner could become a bit dark. We added a skylight there. I also find the dressing room quite small. Are 3 meters of closet space enough for you? It definitely wouldn’t be for us. Tip from me: move the chimney on the ground and upper floors to the other side of the wall (into the hallway), then you will gain some space in the dressing room.

The furniture is currently just there for decoration. No decision has been made yet. But I will note your objection, thank you. The bay window is naturally not as easy to use as a straight one. We are aware of that, but it should remain as is for aesthetic reasons. We simply like it that way. The chimney will probably be removed anyway, as a [Luft-Wasser-Wärmepumpe] is expected to be used. For the dressing room, we have also considered taking half a meter from the children's room to get a wide dressing room where wardrobes can fit on both sides.

That does not exclude the other.

If you want to leave the bay window as it is, then I would divide the ground floor differently. Office as kitchen, living as dining, and dining as living room. The current kitchen could then become the office. This way, the bay window would definitely stand out more if the dining table is placed there.

I might also have a suggestion for the walk-in closet. We just make ourselves a walk-in wardrobe. That means we divide our bedroom as you do, but instead of one large closet room, we make two. We split it down the middle again. Both areas get a door, and inside there will be shelves and a clothes rail on the wall. Our walk-in wardrobe is even only 90cm deep - you would have 1.50m depth available.

That's true. We also have an air-to-water heat pump and a fireplace
