Hello dear home builders

We are now shortly before the house handover and are planning the floor coverings, we naturally still need a floor leveling compound on the screed, but which one?

What are your experiences, especially which manufacturer and which thickness?

We have now shortlisted the house brand from Hornbach (Akkit 201) and Knauf leveling compound. The price should normally stay reasonable because there is always room to spend more, as we have seen.

The area is about 150sqm.

Thank you very much for your help and information

I had leveling compound from Botament. If I remember correctly. From 0-20mm. But I leveled the entire surface, wet on wet of course. That was a really, really tough job. I recommend a good mixing drill, 3 helpers, and generally good tools. But I can't really imagine that your floor is that uneven. Maybe it only needs to be patched in spots?

Depends on what kind of floor you want to lay on it. The tile adhesive does not care about the leveling compound; normally you don’t need a leveling compound for that either. But if you use adhesive for parquet or vinyl, you have to be careful because these are usually only approved within the system. If there are problems, you’re on your own. We have leveling compound and adhesive from Uzin and are very satisfied.

Nicely stayed in the system, so no problems are to be expected there. Everything done correctly.

Hello

We want to stick vinyl on it, so self-adhesive.

Should one apply additional glue on it for safety?
