Hello,

I would generally be interested in the cost ratio of the following three roof types (floor plan approx. 12x8):

    [*]Flat roof.
    [*]Hipped roof (between 10°-20°).
[*]Hipped roof (between 10°-20°) with exposed roof structure.

Obviously, the price depends on many parameters, but a general estimate would be sufficient for me (cost ratio ≠ cost). Logically (and without any construction experience ) I would think that a flat roof is cheaper than a closed hipped roof. And that in turn is cheaper than a hipped roof with exposed roof structure, since the exposed roof has to be designed visually accordingly (on the other hand, the ceiling slab is omitted). I could also be wrong about the flat roof. It will certainly be much more than "just" concrete slab + insulation.

A rough comparative example calculation would be enough for me to specify my construction plan. Something like, "if flat roof 30,000 then closed hipped roof 20% more and open hipped roof about double."

Don't be mistaken, a flat roof properly sealed costs a lot of money.

So is a flat roof more expensive than a hip roof? I would like to have any version of roof properly sealed

Flat roofs are, roughly considered, about 20,000 more expensive. I once remembered this statement from a professional person.

Interesting. I always thought a flat roof would be easier (in terms of cost) to realize.

But that suits me just fine, as according to the following thread I can very likely plan with a roof

And how does it behave with the following hip roof variants:

[*]10° hip roof, without visible roof structure.
[*]10° hip roof, with visible roof structure.

[*]20° hip roof, without visible roof structure.

[*]20° hip roof, with visible roof structure.
[*]30° hip roof, without visible roof structure.
[*]30° hip roof, with visible roof structure.

Can general rules be derived from this? "With visible roof structure more cost-effective than without" or "Higher pitched roof more expensive than roof with lower pitch"? Simply for me to gather more experience for further planning.

Take a look at what is included in the standard scope of various house providers. In my opinion, it is obvious that this is the rather cheapest solution. I think that hipped roofs without visible rafters with truss roof structures prevail (this is the variant where you can hardly move freely in the attic). For these trusses, there are prefabricated solutions (cost-effective). I don't know which roof pitches are common in this case.

I think you need a "professional" planner for the building permit anyway. They can surely answer the question better.
