First step into the new open kitchen! Is planning feasible?

Good morning,

we have now reached the point where we are thinking about the kitchen in our new building.
The current plan looks like this:

It was very important to us that the oven/microwave and dishwasher are not close to the floor.
It is also not yet decided whether we will have a ventilation hood with an inclined hood or a downdraft extractor. However, due to the ventilation system, we need an automatic extraction duct for the exterior wall ala Flow Star 150.

The initial planning shocked us a bit. After some calculations, the kitchen planner came to €12,000 (without electrical appliances) for a Nobilia kitchen with good high-gloss fronts and mid-priced drawers.

Since the space is quite limited, would you do anything differently?
Tips & comments?
How do you rate the price in relation to the kitchen?
Since the manufacturer is standardized, would you rather go to a big furniture store or a small kitchen studio?

Thanks for your effort!

You have an open kitchen? Why do you then block it off with tall cabinets?

I can only agree with . You build an open kitchen and then seal yourself in like that. Also worth mentioning ... hardly any space between the sink and the cooktop ... that is actually the main work surface.

And, becoming more and more incomprehensible to me, why do people come up with the idea of wasting great base cabinet storage for downdraft vents when the cooktop is against the wall?

The wall on the right is perfect for the refrigerator and oven. Move the cooktop to where the oven is now. The dishwasher goes under the oven.

So the open kitchen is more due to the space than the desire for an open view. Regardless, we want the dishwasher to be elevated, so it cannot be in a base cabinet. I find the oven right next to the refrigerator somewhat problematic due to the heat generated when baking. We thought of a downdraft extractor for aesthetic reasons, to avoid running a visible exhaust duct across to the exterior wall.

There are also recirculating extractor hoods. So no visible ducts.
