Above all, one should not forget that you/you all are financed at 1.1% and probably still have reasonable construction prices. It probably will never be as cheap as it is now :-)

What use are the lowest interest rates and the best offer if liquidity is lacking? Should I buy the Lamborghini just because it is available inexpensively, although I am an average earner?

As mentioned, what would actually be possible is to stop the construction and keep the land.

A few more precise numbers would certainly be interesting. Depending on how much equity is already invested, the ex first has to be paid out half in order to get her out of the land register.

Have you already talked to the bank about what would be doable?

I have not yet seen an income/expense statement from the OP. Maybe of the €5,000 net income after training, €4,000 belongs to the OP? Maybe he is doing a dual education and his salary will increase significantly in x years. So I don’t have exact information yet. Maybe he has already sent you the data via private message?

And about the Lamborghini. At our work, a couple with well under €4,000 net income leased a new CLS 450. The woman now drives it 3 km to work... You wouldn’t believe what people can “manage”

True, I realized too late that the information that the house does not yet exist. : Perhaps you could consult experts to find out to what extent this house/plot of land can be considered an investment and future provision for retirement, or you could make it a joint project with your family members. But it can be quite nerve-wracking. ;-) I still lack information to come to a final assessment. Some form of retirement provision will be necessary for your ex-girlfriend/you; whether this plot/a house can be that needs to be carefully considered. Whether your ex-girlfriend is still an option as a "business partner" I cannot assess. If there are still too many emotions involved between you two, in my opinion, probably not. However, my caution about waiving the plot is entirely subjective based on my difficulties in finding any plot at all, and therefore might not apply to your situation. Maybe it is easier nowadays to find houses and plots being offered again. But that was not your original question after all. ;-)

Oh, if I got the chance to buy a 150,000 EUR car for 50,000 EUR (legal), I would somehow try to do it, even if I then sell it for 99,000 EUR.
