Hello everyone,

after a long search, I found a solar installer through a contact who had the time to create an offer for a photovoltaic system including storage and wallbox for me, while from all the others I inquired with, I haven't even received a response, at most an automated one.

The following parameters were offered:

30 modules Q-Cell Q-Peak Duo G.11 monocrystalline 400W including roof mounting brackets, Kostal Plenticore plus 10.0 inverter, installation and surge protection €14,640

BYD storage system HVS 10.2 BCU + 4 battery modules usable capacity 12.24 kWh €7,300

Electrician costs €800

Scaffolding costs €900

Kostal Enector Wallbox €950

Electrician costs Wallbox €500

Total costs thus €25,090 net.

Considering that only the net amount has to be paid in 2023 and I can still receive a total subsidy of €2,850 from the city, that actually sounds pretty good.

I actually expected it to be worse price-wise, sure it’s only 12 kWp, but it still seems very fair to me.

Or do you see it differently? Unfortunately, I am not really deep into the topic yet to be able to properly assess it myself.

Delivery time is sometime at the end of 2023, although I can still imagine that some who would be ahead of me might possibly drop out for financial reasons, then I might be earlier after all.

Btw: we have an annual electricity consumption of about 9,000 kWh, of which about 6,000 kWh is for an 8 kW heat pump.

I have already noticed that opinions on the storage vary, but I consider it useful, even if it won’t be completely economical.

Thank you very much for your feedback

We are at 9.84 kWp with 7.7 kWh BYD storage and auxiliary work up to acceptance at about 21.3k net. As of November 2022 with installation in Q1 2023. I have also seen an offer for a similar system at just under 30k net. You even have a wallbox included in your offer. Your offer seems good to me, all things considered. Storage makes more and more sense with electricity prices at 50 cents+.

Offer for the photovoltaic system is OK. The storage seems expensive to me. Do you need such a large one? We manage quite well with our 5k.
