Extractor hood exhaust pipe through the wall or ceiling and roof?

Hello,

for the range hood (exhaust) exhaust pipe simply out through the wall or through the ceiling and roof with a fan tile? I think through the wall is easier and cheaper, but which is better?

(Bungalow, attic not insulated, attic expansion not planned, behind the outside wall of the kitchen is a carport)

Regards

Where your cooktop is drawn, the solution over the roof should be "better."

Then you can use a range hood with an external fan that is installed in the attic. Very quiet, I had that in the last house with a Miele extractor hood. Then you also need a condensate separator.

A kitchen installer said that a condensate container should be installed in the exhaust system over the roof and the condensate evaporates on its own. With a condensate separator, you have to drain the condensate somewhere, right? Usually, kitchen installers do everything?

I don't think there is a rule for that. The roof installation should be done by a roofer. A drain for the condensate should be considered by the plumbing specialist.

The condensate separator primarily ensures that the water does not flow back into the engine. What then happens to the water is another matter. I don't think much of evaporation. How is that supposed to work in winter, when most condensate occurs but nothing evaporates, rather it freezes?

If it fits, I will make the exhaust air through the wall (there is no 150 mm ventilation pan).

We will do the carport later, but it is already drawn so that it aligns from above with the roof overhang of the house. If the wall opening for the extractor hood becomes too tight, it can be figured out and adjusted somehow, but I would like to avoid custom sizes. How high are carports with storage rooms usually?

Can someone estimate approximately how much space I will have later between the floor and the roof overhang?
