I have also already thought about the drainage, but I don't know where the water should drain off?! Even if I include the drainage, I come to no more than 400€.

My planned costs for about 5sqm:

100€ - 200€ for MEM or PCI
30€ - Studded membrane 1.5 m x 20 m
50 - 70€ XPS
100€ Drainage + fleece

Not to belittle the profession, but it's not nuclear technology... Basically, I am with you and would also prefer to have it done by others. But currently, financially it is not possible, and since urgent action is needed, I have to do something!

So please stop constantly trying to push experts on me.

Maybe I also formulated the question incorrectly... I just want to know how best to waterproof and insulate a basement from the outside???

Regards Patrick

We are not talking about building a garden shed or floor coverings here. The OP wants to get involved with essentially important structural components *and* has about as much knowledge of the execution as I have of IT. EL is a fine thing, making every builder’s chest swell with pride; no question. Only EL, please, at positions where errors remain annoying but forgivable. This has nothing to do with "demonizing," it is simply protecting the builder from overestimating themselves! It is also no use trying to cut costs as a cheap builder and facing the same problem in at most 1 year. Because then it really gets expensive, since it has to be paid for twice! Hello building expert

The OP said that a drainage system was present, but the water simply overflowed due to the drainage being full and ran behind the insulation.
It would make sense to first find out why the drainage was full. After all, it is meant to keep water away from the house and transport it somewhere. That should be clarified first.
Now there is also a hole. You could clean the wall there, protect it with thick layer bitumen, then create insulation with Styrodur and neatly install a studded membrane in front of it. That would at least keep out non-pressurized water. Refill the hole and compact it in layers. So don’t just fill it completely and then tamp it with a heavy tamper at the top, but tamp every 15 cm or so. You can make something for that out of wood yourself. Then also create a drainage system at the top (the OP has the pattern) and also see where the water can be drained. Because something seems to be going wrong there.
If it still seeps into the basement after that, I would consider consulting an expert.
Maybe that’s it though. We have had rainfall here in recent months that I only know from the tropics.

Can someone tell me how much something like this approximately costs if you have it done by a professional company?

That would then be the version paid for twice; I wouldn't be interested in that. Building expert on the go
