According to TE, 4 apartments are planned. Depending on construction costs and rent, I could see that working out. Or not. Living above the catering service and in the mixed-use area is certainly not the prime location. The effort for the add-on floor is also a major unknown.

There are still quite a few unknowns, so I can’t provide all the details here yet. The commercial space may possibly be rented out in a few years, maybe as a medical practice or similar. The league between Düsseldorf and Cologne (20 minutes in both directions) in Langenfeld has become extremely popular in recent years. I have already received a lot of help here in the forum with various suggestions and ideas; the rest will result from research, consultation, patience, and weighing all the risks. When there is more commitment and detail, I will gladly report on it :-)
