Extend the canopy of a prefabricated garage

does anyone have an idea how to extend the canopy of a precast concrete garage?
The garage has a length of 9.00m and a width of 3.48m.
The garage already has a canopy with a length of 0.50m.

It would be desirable to extend the canopy from 0.50m to 1.50m

Is there a building permit for it?

Why should that be the first question? – you don’t even need the answer to that question if it is not technically (affordably) feasible.

… sounds like the garage already exists. Or did you mean "to order a not yet existing garage with an even further protruding overhang"? – that would be a completely different issue, because then you wouldn’t have to splice anything, but could just plan it that way from the start.
