Hello everyone,
our house is currently in the shell construction phase. The windows are installed, and the electrician has finished chasing and drilling the walls and is currently attaching the flush-mounted boxes.
I noticed that the connection cable of the roller shutter at one window seems to be torn.
It is much shorter than the others, and near the top, just below the ceiling next to the roller shutter, a box was drilled. (This is not the case with the other windows.)
It is probably meant to become a flush-mounted box where the cable will be extended.
Now, my question:
Do I have a chance to enforce this as a defect with the builder?
I do not want a box next to the window (curtain rod), and also, an additional connection point is always another potential source of error.
After all, I am paying for an intact motor with a complete cable.
Ideally, I would prefer a replacement of the motor and thus a new connection cable that can then be routed directly to the switch next to the window.
What do you think?
