Experiences with rimless toilets (Villeroy & Boch, Duravit, etc.)

Good day,

I have been renovating a granny flat in my house over the past few years and am now selecting products for the bathroom. (It is a small bathroom with only 4sqm)

First, I would have chosen a rimless toilet from Villeroy & Boch (Subway 3.0) including a matching washbasin cabinet from the same series. The flush tank is concealed from Geberit. I already have the shower; the faucets and mixer for the shower will probably be Hans Grohe.

However, I have recently read more and more criticisms about the Subway 3.0 from Villeroy & Boch on the internet. Allegedly, it does not flush cleanly, leaving a lot behind and requiring frequent re-flushing. Splashing and complicated adjustments of the water volume from the flush tank so that it even somewhat works were also recurring topics. A friend who is a plumber said that in his experience, Duravit has few problems, but of course, that is just one opinion. Therefore, my question: Are there people here who have long-term experience with rimless toilets from current series and can provide me with a report? If there are good experiences with washbasins / mirror cabinets, those would also be welcome, although due to lack of space, they may only be 50/55 or 60cm wide.

Regards,
Andre

Geberit icon in the current house and previously in the apartment.

Basically very good experience with it - it can only be that water droplets sometimes splash out (forward, under the toilet seat lid). But for me that is negligible, so I have stayed with this model.

Here is also the icon. No problems, the only important thing is that a flow restrictor is installed.

Ok, thanks for the answers. I have read about the Geberit thing several times already. It will probably be one of those then... Has anyone had bad experiences with the Geberit Icon?

First, I would have chosen a rimless toilet by Villeroy and Boch (Subway 3.0) I had another model installed and the same problem. Flushing multiple times or the water turns dark shortly afterwards.
