Hello everyone,
we have taken advantage of a comprehensive burglary consultation from the police and at the same time received opinions from 3 craftsmen that upgrading the windows (22 years old, double glazed) with appropriately high-quality retrofit products is no longer worthwhile, as the costs for retrofitting are considerable and one would eventually replace 22-year-old windows anyway in the foreseeable future.
Therefore, we now want to use two combined kfw funding measures to completely replace the windows on the one hand, and on the other hand, to have special retrofit products installed on individual elements of the apartment. That is, those that are eligible for funding and are usually not the ones at the hardware store price.
Now my question: How quickly is this application approved? We have another appointment on site with a company on Thursday; I hope that we will have an offer a few days later. If we then submit the application, which is online, right?, is it realistic to hope that it will be approved two weeks later? Or does something like this take months?
And how is it, for example: We want to install this EM3 security bolt, which complies with the necessary DIN standard, so it is eligible for funding. For the windows, grilles, etc., I receive an offer from the craftsman that I can scan, but I have to buy these security bolts myself first, right? It always says the application must be approved before the measure begins, but how do I handle that with products I buy myself?
