Experience / Opinion on home financing with a high loan amount

Hello,
I haven’t read everything here and I’m not sure if this has already been discussed, if so just ignore it.

We have now also signed a loan agreement (€378,000) and initially wanted to repay over 15 years with a residual debt of about €150k after 15 years. But we have now decided on a full repayment variant. 25 years with 1.65% and a 5% special repayment option. Additionally, 24 months of interest-free provision period. This way we have peace of mind, can shorten the term through special repayments, and accept the higher interest costs.

A good and wise decision from my point of view.
