2-3% discount is usually still acceptable. It helps with payment morale and the entrepreneur doesn't have to chase as much.

There is a very good reason for this, one is motivated not to withhold money and to make the final payment thoughtlessly. And everyone who has built knows it, once everything is paid, you don’t see anyone on the construction site anymore...

Well...I'm curious. I see little prospect of discounts.

We received a 2% cash discount for the turnkey execution. Another contractor was willing to give us a 3% fixed discount without much urging. We did not negotiate with several others.

So according to our experience, 2% cash discount should definitely be included at least.

Hello, our initial offer was at 391,000 euros. Then I was able to negotiate the builder down to a discount of 380,000 euros. Let's see if any further cash discount is possible. I will definitely ask. I rather don't think so. However, it seems to me that the fixed price has been set higher right away. I will give you your feedback.

Hello, our offer includes the trench excavation up to the transfer shaft with backfilling and compaction, laying of the wastewater and rainwater pipes, and connection to the transfer shaft at a fixed price. A maximum length of 10 meters is assumed. This item would cost approximately 3800 euros. Our transfer shaft is located directly on our property and is about 4 meters away from the house. Is the price reasonable, or should I outsource the work to a civil engineer who charges exactly according to length?
