ERR, KNX, heat pump and controlled residential ventilation = what do you say?

You can also get an exemption. Of course, it's the typical discussion hassle with the dear officials...

And the question was whether it makes sense, the answer is very simple. It costs, no matter how you look at it, efficiency without bringing any advantages.

If you don't feel like getting an exemption... Implement the simplified version, then simply disengage the actuators on the heating manifold and disconnect the power, and the problem is solved (legal). Therefore, make sure that the installed valves are open without power!

Attention, when cooling, individual rooms such as the bathroom may need to be turned off at the HKV in summer. Otherwise, they will be cooled as well. This may not be so comfortable.

But I am still only a theorist, we are not that far yet ourselves. The information came from the heating engineer.

Many greetings! mini

My experience on this: I let my wall heating in the bathrooms cool in summer... Because I also find a cool bathroom nicer in summer.

You’re right about tiled floors... I turn off the underfloor heating in the bathrooms, otherwise it’s uncomfortable. You can do that at the heating circuit distributor in a minute. Of course, you can also solve this with a control system, but then the valves have to be connected all year round. It’s possible, but I decided against it.

ERR do not make sense because a low-temperature surface heating system is far too slow. Nevertheless, they are mandatory. One can apply for an exemption, success is not guaranteed. This also clarifies the question of whether the ERR can/should be integrated into a smart home via KNX. My credo is that a heating system is smart if you set it once and then do not have to touch it again until the heating equipment is replaced. Therefore, integration into a smart home concept is unnecessary (aside from the playfulness of the technology-enthusiastic builder). Large temperature differences between rooms within the thermal envelope are generally only possible with extra thick insulation in the partition walls. A 2K difference is possible; at 4K it becomes difficult.

As I said, it was rather out of necessity. The whole hassle regarding exemption was too much effort for us. Primarily, I also suspect that they are expected by the [BAFA]. Since the [KNX-Taster] are already present anyway, the heating actuator is just added. The plumber will then set the things completely open.
