Equip the rooftop terrace on the 7th floor

Consider bamboo. Breaks the wind, provides pleasantly cool shade, and there are robust frost-hardy varieties.

What style should it be anyway?

You don’t need to suggest an awning if it’s supposed to be the trendy rooftop terrace of the 2 million penthouse in the big city.
A sail, for example, would be better.

You can also take up the beach theme. With sand, beach chair, coverings made of reed or something like that. (good) sun umbrella.

What will the railing look like?

The apartment is central in Hamburg. The railing will have 2 rungs, I think. I can't say for sure yet, I'll ask. The beach is a nice topic, however the sand up there won't stay for long.

You can hardly get to the railing spots, if there are supposed to be planter boxes there, it becomes uncomfortable.

Is that supposed to be a small pool?

What you also have to consider is a box for the chair cushions, some space for plant supplies.

A rain barrel would also be practical, but only if you can tap into a gutter.

On my 24sqm terrace balcony (half covered) I only have a table, 6 chairs, a large cushion box, plant containers, rain barrel, a small cabinet for plant supplies, and a corner shelf.

Then you can move around. One lounge chair would probably still fit, but I wouldn’t want more than that.

As stated, it is only for illustration. The "pool" would be a Jacuzzi, otherwise the load capacity becomes tight. The marked planter boxes are located outside the terrace on the roof. What furnishings are actually implemented is initially secondary.
